Eating and drinking locally

Here is a list of tried and tested local eateries and ones which we can personally verify

Our Local!   A friendly base with excellent bars where dogs and children are made very welcome.  Out in the sticks, but well worth the effort to get to it.  Menu is excellent but quite pricey.  Expect good food, service and great ambience.

THE HARROW INN Open lunch 12.30 - 2.30 Evenings: Thursday, Friday & Saturday 6-9pm

One of the most unspoilt pubs in the south of England.  Run by the same family over 3 generations, Claire is warm and welcoming.  The 2 bars are tiny, so get there early, or the outside space is still lovely on a warm day.  Food is wholesome and good value.  Excellent local beer served from the barrel.  A truly unique gem.  3MILES
